February on the homestead
Hi there!
It has been awhile since I’ve done a homestead update and since I took some pictures around the place this morning I figured I may as well share with all you.
I love our ducks, they are so cute! Unfortunately we lost one (we believe to a large predator bird) and I was the one who found what was left of it. That was a sad day. I sure hope one of the females which are left will hatch some eggs this spring cause I love me some ducklings 🙂 We have the ducks in our fenced in garden space for now (they’ve been in there all winter) and since we have very little snow left they are busy busy cleaning up the garden for me 🙂
Note to self: need to pull out all the grass that’s crept into the raised beds soon!
Highlight of my morning (after coffee of course) is checking the coop and finding fresh eggs!
Good morning ladies!
And Gentleman 🙂 This is Henry our handsome rooster. He is really fluffy and huge and he’s very sweet and gentle but protective of his ladies.
View from the garden. The snow line is already pretty high up so I’m optimistic there won’t be anymore big snowfalls. Loved seeing the blue sky this morning as it’s been rainy and foggy and blah so much lately.
The rough life for a homestead kitty 🙂
Have a great week!
